There are joint efforts to combat terrorism in Russia and the UK. Due to recent terror acts both countries will start combating it. London has a terrorist attack recently and in some parts of Russia, as Stavropol, there is a constant ongoing war. Luckily, Mr Putin visited the Cobra briefing room where the government plans its emergency response to terror attacks.
This is really “foreign relations”, since both leaders are working with one another. “We want to work, to take the relationship between Europe and Russia to a new and more intense and strengthened level," Mr Blair said.
Trade was also set to be on the agenda, with Mr Blair saying the two countries' economic futures are bound together. This relationship seems to splurge into an interdependent one.
It seems both sides want to put aside their differences. Once again this demonstrates how countries will find middle ground in order to help their situation. Russia has a supply of natural gas and hopefully the UK can create some sort of economic prosperity and social content.
Maybe a little far-fetched, but is Russia trying to regain its “super-power” image back?
Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
